Adelaide Beauty Conference 2013

I recently attended the most anticipated day on the Adelaide beauty bloggers calender....
The Adelaide Beauty Conference. This was my first time attending the Adelaide Beauty Conference, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect! Upon arrival I found out that this years conference theme was Beauty with a Conscience, bringing the concept of nature and natural products into the topic of beauty....

We were all given cute little bow name tags....which allowed us to get to know each other by name in person and make connections with the face behind the blogs....
There were so many great brands involved in this years meet, including Guinot, Davroe, Natures Organics, People for plants and Couleur Caramel.
Not only were we introduced to these amazing brands and their products, but we were also given some insight into the legal side of blogging, and we were treated to a workshop about how to take a professional looking photo by Cristina from The Hungry Australian....it was such useful information.

Lunch was amazing!!!! Vegan burgers provided by Two-Bit Villains along with specially made sodas and sweets, We were also treated to delicious and pretty little cupcakes from The Cupcake Table

Guinot was the first of the brands to speak to us about their amazing products, they also demonstrated their Aromatic Facial, with a really cool full face peel off mask, which is lathered onto the whole face including over the eyes and mouth and then once dried it gets pulled off....

We then heard about Couleur Caramel and Love Organics...which led to a make up competition, where we had to go from station to station and do our own make-up in a certain amount of time....prizes were given based on most wearable, creative, best eyes and more....
Below you can see Susannah from Sparkle2day.com  and I showing off our more wearable looks after the competition

Next we heard from the owner of Davroe, it is so great and rare that this brand is South Australian owned and South Australian Made. They have products for any kind of hair, whether its curly, coloured, blonde, or dry. I'm really looking forward to trying out there products...

After a few more games and activities the day came to an end. We were spoiled with gift bags filled with amazing products to take home and try out. For my first time attending the Adelaide beauty conference, I was not dissapointed....and I can't wait till next years conference!
