Ted Baker
to open fourth Australian store in Adelaide’s
Rundle Place

Ted Baker is proud to announce the opening of his new store in the newly redeveloped Rundle Place. Opening on the 26th March, the 1954 sq ft store will showcase Ted’s Autumn Winter menswear, womenswear and accessory collections.

Situated in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, Rundle Place is the most popular tourist attraction in South Australia and is home to many iconic Australian brands as well as some of the world’s biggest names in fashion.

Inspiration is drawn from Australia being the world’s 4th largest exporter of wine, with Adelaide producing the most famous of all, Penfolds Grange. The store design incorporates all aspects of wine production from the vineyard to distillery, to storage and finally the tasting.
From the façade to the interior the store takes you on journey from grape to glass!

Designed like rows of cultivated vineyards, the shop front is made up of vertical timber panels varying in depths creating a ripple effect. Upon entering the store the first feature wall portrays global wine production, with bottle corks cut into discs and arranged into a map of the world.
With its autumnal tones of burnished berries and earthy hues Ted’s AW13 collections create a palette that embraces rustic beauty and rural charm.

On womenswear, Ted’s signature prints are inspired by botanical vintage finds with the foxglove, sweet pea and decoupage cluster cultivated as focus placements or seen to grow all over its dresses and separates.
For menswear, heritage fabrics are mixed with functional materials to create heavily detailed pieces that are second nature to Ted. Suede shooting patches, contrast elbow patches and knitted panels are key on both knitwear and outerwear.
